When I met my husband I was an avid runner, not biking and definitely not swimming. He changed that by introducing me to triathlons. I did my first triathlon in 2007 and I was hooked. Not only was it a way for my husband and I to hang out but it allowed me to stay active in sports. I have come a long way since my first race in 2007, even though I did come in first in my age group ** out of two haha **. Now I am ready to get back at training and completing my second Ironman. My first Ironman was in 2011 and that experience deserves its own blog post so that will come soon...
I have not picked out my race yet but it will be in 2014...Place TBD...
I am not an expert by any means, just a triathlete getting back to the sport after having a baby. If you are a mom or just someone who wants a simple training plan to compete in a sprint all the way up to an ironman, then follow my journey getting back after baby...
Sunday marked the first day back on my bike. I did spin class while I was pregnant but I stopped riding out on the road when I found out I was pregnant. My training this week will be as follows...
