Kitchen Cabinet Transformation

It has been way too long since my last post- What happened.... Life happened.  My hat goes off to these serious bloggers that post constantly and make it look so easy.  I mean seriously this stuff is hard work and it takes dedication- and to anyone who says this is not a job, well, you are wrong- blogging is most certainly a job, yea you can do it from your bed while still in your pj's but it is a non stop job for those who are dedicated to it.  Enough on that lets get to the good stuff.... Transformation of Kitchen Cabinets.  Recently we moved into a new home- I will call it our project home.  Sure it could be considered move in ready for some but all my eyes saw were home improvement projects- I even made a list of projects for each room before we even bought the house.  My first project was to paint the cabinets giving them the antique look.  After many nights on Pinterest I decided my best option was going to be Rust-Oleum Cabinet Transformation.  Here is what you will need:

* Rust-Oleum Cabinet Transformation Kit- I got mine at Home Depot

* Paint Brush

* A clean area to work- I chose the garage

The kit includes a video or you can watch the video on the Rust-Oleum website before you purchase to see if this is the right product for you.  The steps are easy and clear to understand in the instruction book that is in the kit.  I did this over a span of a week only because I was working at night after work and then going back to our old house(we had not moved in yet).  This is totally a weekend project if you want to finish quick.  A couple of helpful hints:

* Take all the doors off first and lay them out- make sure you have enough space to work and still live at the same time

* To be more productive have a plan crafted.

* When glazing make sure to do a test to see how long you want to leave the glaze on.  I painted four doors then went back and wiped off the glaze for the look I was going for.

Before(FYI I will work on my photography)...

After...

In my opinion I loved this product and since the cabinets I have actually used it on other pieces of furniture I am working on.  As always questions are welcome and encouraged.

Happy Crafting!
