DIY Outdoor Fire Pit

The main reason I fell in love with our new house was the nice big backyard.  I had serious vision of what I was going to do {all my husband saw was work, work, work}.  My first project I wanted to complete was to add a fire pit area.  I knew if I was going to get this project approved {by my husband} I would have to work with a small budget.  I told him I could have it all built for $125 {my final price was $124.50}.  Here is what you need...

* Find a spot in the yard and clear it of any debris
* Mulch {bought in bulk at Buck Jones in Grayson, GA $16.95 a tractor scoop}
* Level

1- Clear your spot and level the fire pit area.  I used a shovel to dig out a circle area and then used my level to ensure all areas were level.  This was the only area I cared about being level.

2- Spread mulch around the pit

3- Put the paver base down and then make sure it is level

4- Lay the first layer of Wall Blocks down creating a circle.

5- Before applying the glue do a test on the second layer- you can do a design or stack the blocks right on top of the first layer.

6- Follow step 5 for the third layer

7- Let the glue set and enjoy!

Added touches...
* Chairs purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond {use a coupon and get each chair for $14}

* Tiki Torches {on sale at Home Depot during the winter}

* Decorative planter buckets

* Metal bucket {turn upside down and use as a side table}
