Another fun filled weekly workout for you moms out there getting back at it after baby!! I have really started to pick up the pace because my first race back is in three weeks. I also have a little side bet with my uncle who is in his 60's about who will win... BTW he wins his age group at just about every race he does and he places overall in some of the races so this will be tough for me to beat him. I definitely have the tri bug again, I have been watching the inspirational videos and I even signed up for another ironman race- more on that in my next blog post. Ok on to the good stuff, tri mom weekly workout...
Monday-
Spin 1 hour- either in the gym or on the trainer at home while baby naps
Tuesday-
Swim 500 in the AM before baby wakes up
Run 5 miles while pushing baby in the afternoon/evening- make sure you take walking breaks if you need to. Also include a little arm workout by doing push ups against the stroller as you are climbing the hills in your run:)
Wednesday-
Run 3 miles before baby gets up in the AM
Bike 15 miles outside at your local park while Dad plays with baby at the park
Thursday-
Swim 500 in the AM before baby wakes up
Run 3 miles in the afternoon/evening
Friday-
Spin 30 minutes on the trainer at home before baby wakes up
Run 5 miles while pushing baby and don't forget to incorporate the push ups on the hills
Saturday-
Long day... Start with a good breakfast! Get out early and run/walk if you need to 8 miles.
Bike 15 miles- you can do this in the evening or after you run
Sunday-
Use this as your rest day but if you want to get a workout in go run or bike at your local park.
